Insider Startup Investment Tips From Venture Capitalist and Global Accelerator StartMesh

In this presentation Richard Webb from StartMesh shared with us what venture capitalists look for when investing in startup companies at Buzinga’s Pollination event, The Secrets Of Capital Raising, in early 2016.

Richard is a high-profile entrepreneur, mentor, investor and disruptor, who impressively took a company from an idea on a serviette to IPO in under a year.

Richard has run his own venture fund, Red Ocean, for the past 10 years, with investments all over the world.

He also co-founded South Bondi, an organisation that uniquely mentors both corporations and individuals to navigate a disruptive commercial landscape.

In 2014, he co-founded StartMesh to help guide technology companies with a validated offering successfully commercialise on a global scale.

StartMesh is a consultancy and technology platform provider which specialises in mid-stage start-ups globally.

They focus on 5 key disruptive industry verticals: Big Data Collection and Interpretation; Curated Skill Sourcing; Asset Sharing; Health, Safety, and Fitness; and Education and Skill Development.

The business is based in Melbourne and Sydney and serves clients in New York, London, Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai, and Hong Kong.
